We hold ourselves to the standards of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America.

At Stark Farms, we ensure and subscribe to the the following standards:

  1. I shall at all times ensure all dogs under my control are properly housed, fed, watered and exercised, and I will see that they receive proper veterinary care when required;

  2.  I will speak about fellow breeders and their animals truthfully and respectfully at all times;

  3.  I will register my kennel and dogs with state and local authorities yearly, if applicable, based on my conditions;

  4.  I agree to a kennel inspection and audit if requested by officers or regional representatives

  5. I shall breed with the soundness of the dog in mind. I shall not breed with a dog that does not meet the minimum health testing requirements;

  6. I will not sell or trade my dogs to any commercial animal wholesalers or retail pet dealers/traders;

  7.  I shall not sell or place a puppy younger than 6 weeks. I will wean, desex or place under a spay/neuter contract all non-breeding puppies;

  8.  I shall tag all puppies I produce, sell or trade with permanent identification in the form of a tattoo or microchip, or encourage their new owners to do so;

  9.  I shall ensure to the best of my ability that all persons acquiring dogs from me clearly understand their responsibility for the care and welfare of the animal and have made the necessary preparations for keeping of the dog;

  10. I shall help educate potential purchasers regarding responsible dog ownership and will offer to take back and re-home any dog from my program if the purchaser no longer wants it; or, if not urgent, I will work with the owner to find a new home for the dog;

  11.  I shall provide to purchasers written instructions for dietary and veterinary care and training, and/or an appropriate publication detailing same;

  12.  I will breed my dogs responsibly and will keep proper records of my breeding stock’s offspring, including any genetic defects I am aware of. If I am made aware that I’ve produced a puppy with a life-inhibiting genetic defect, I will rearrange my breeding program to reflect more responsible breeding and will avoid future mating between that breeding pair;

  13.  I will supply the purchaser with a copy of my program’s guarantee

  14. I shall follow all laws pertaining to the care and keeping of dogs in my state, county and municipality;

  15.  When I give a dog or puppy to a family as a gift or donation, I shall obtain confirmation that the recipient is willing to accept the dog and provide appropriate care, the same as any purchaser.

  16. I shall not purposefully breed from any bitch before she has reached twenty months of age or after she has reached six years of age
